Statement of faith

What we believe.

EPICS Keeping Your Cool Institute is a Christ-centered, biblically grounded ministry and educational formation initiative.

We believe

Thirteen convictions.

  1. There is one true and living God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  2. The Bible is the inspired Word of God and provides the foundation for our faith, values, and Christian way of life.

  3. Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man, and the source of salvation, reconciliation, and new life.

  4. Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

  5. The Holy Spirit indwells, guides, teaches, convicts, empowers, and transforms believers.

  6. Every person is created in the image of God and possesses inherent dignity and worth.

  7. Sin affects the heart, mind, relationships, behavior, and human experience, making transformation and renewal necessary.

  8. God calls believers to the ongoing process of sanctification and spiritual maturity.

  9. Emotional experiences are part of the human experience and should be understood and stewarded in ways consistent with biblical truth.

  10. Believers are called to develop the fruit of the Spirit, including self-control, patience, gentleness, kindness, faithfulness, and love.

  11. Healing, restoration, forgiveness, reconciliation, wisdom, and healthy boundaries are important components of Christlike maturity.

  12. The Church is called to equip believers for spiritual growth, service, community, and faithful living.

  13. Every believer has God-given purpose and is called to walk faithfully in the identity and purpose found in Christ.

Our teaching seeks to remain faithful to Scripture while recognizing the importance of emotional awareness, personal responsibility, healthy relationships, and appropriate professional support when needed.
